Town, county mostly unaffected by storm

Compared to the rest of the state, the weather didn’t impact Chase County very much.
While Imperial did receive some snow last week, the wind was the biggest factor in the weather.
On Wednesday, the highest wind speed was 51 mph, with gusts up to 68 mph, according the National Weather Service (NWS) in North Platte.
The NWS also recorded last Thursday’s wind speeds at 47 mph with gusts up to 69 mph.
Both the Imperial Police Department and Chase County Sheriff’s Department reported minimal incidents.
