The Talbott Brothers Tyler, left, and Nick recently recorded a video at Enders Lake. Since their tour was canceled due to COVID-19, the duo has been at home in Imperial recording acoustic singles.

Talbott Brothers adjusting to canceled tour

Recent music video filmed at Enders Lake

Imperial natives Nick and Tyler Talbott of the Talbott Brothers had their last live, in-person show in March in Kansas City.
The duo, now based out of Portland, Oregon, has been doing up to 150 live shows a year for the past few years.
With the onset of COVID-19, the brothers were forced to cancel the rest of their tour.
“We came home before all of the lockdowns,” Nick said.
At that point, self-quarantine wasn’t required, but once they returned to Imperial from the Kansas City show, Nick and Tyler spent a lot of time at their parents’ house.
“I didn’t even go to the grocery store for like two weeks,” Nick said.“Because you can be a carrier and not even know it.”
Since returning to Imperial for their unintentional vacation, the brothers have been spending time with family and friends at their parents’ house and at Enders Lake.
“We have a lot of people ask us ‘What can we do right now (to help) because we can’t buy concert tickets,’” Nick said.
“We’re doing handwritten lyrics on our website in addition to our other merchandise,” he added. “And we do have a direct support option.”
But they’re appreciating the ability to slow down and enjoy their new down time with their loved ones.
“It’s nice to be able to be in a small town during all this,” Nick said, “especially just to be with family. It’s been fun to be home.”
“That’s been kind of fun for us because we’ve been stopped for a long time,” he added.
