Minden man flown from hospital after Hwy. 6 motorcycle accident

Ryan Kuhn, 50, of Minden was riding his motorcycle west on Highway 6 at the curve near Enders around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Kuhn “failed to negotiate the curve” and was thrown from the motorcycle, Chase County Sheriff Deputy Rob Browning said.
Kuhn was wearing a helmet at the time. “It could have been a lot worse” if he hadn’t been wearing the helmet, Browning said.
Browning added Kuhn was wearing just a T-shirt on top, so he has some “pretty good road rash.”
Kuhn was transported to Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) by ambulance, where he was later transported to a larger hospital via helicopter. Browning was unsure where he was transported.
According to Browning and Imperial Volunteer Fire Department (IVFD) Assistant Chief Brad Wheeler, if an individual is thrown from a vehicle in an accident, they will automatically be flown out to a larger hospital.
IVFD and Imperial EMS were also on scene.
Traffic was stopped in both directions while EMS prepared Kuhn for transport.
