Imperial MPCC campus hires new administrative assistant

Brenda Ledall, Imperial campus coordinator for Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC), has announced as of June 15, a new administrative assistant is now established at the Imperial campus location.
Katie Gebert will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon.-Fri., with full-time hours  allowing Ledall more time to carry out additional community outreach.
Gebert will be assisting Ledall in the office with student accounts, community awareness of existing programs and helping create more business and community education classes.
Gebert was born and raised in Florida.
She graduated  from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education.
She and her husband, Pastor Alex Gebert, moved to Imperial from Kentucky a little over two years ago when he accepted the pastoral position at Crossroads Wesleyan Church.
Gebert is busy filling several roles.
She is mom to 2-year-old Amelia, a pastor’s wife, praise and worship leader at the church and now the frontline contact for MPCC Imperial campus.
“I love that I can use my degree even though it’s not in the area of early childhood. But I will still be working with students and utilizing the business portion of my degree,” Gebert said.
The MPCC Imperial campus building is open to the public as of July 15.
Masks will still be required when entering the building, Gebert said.
