First grader’s photo from fair chosen ‘Commissioner’s Choice’

A picture of the Champion Mill earned Jackson Sauder a $75 cash prize and recognition for his photography skills. His photo was chosen the Commissioner’s Choice winner among all the 4-H photography entries at last year’s Chase County Fair. Jackson, a first grader at Chase County Schools, was a Clover Kids participant last year, and said he took the photo when he was at the Champion Lake last summer with his family. His photograph will be on display in the coming year in the meeting room of the new county building on East 5th Street, where the Extension office is located.
