Chili Cook-Off boasts one of highest number of entries

The 8th annual Chili Cook-Off held last Thursday was a huge success, according to Jack Schnieder, cook-off coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce event.
There were 14 chili recipes entered this year, ranging from mild and sweet to fiery hot, but all were delicious, said Schnieder.
In 2017, 17 contestants entered the competition.
The winners of this year’s Chili Cook-Off were Clint Johnson, first place; Adams Bank & Trust, second; and Chris Lee, third. The place winners were awarded $50, $25 and $15 in Chamber Bucks, respectively.
The People’s Choice award went to Luis Rodriguez for his smoked chili recipe. He received an 8th annual Chili Cook-Off chef’s apron.
