Airport runway renovation project underway

Workers with National Sealant & Concrete from Abrams, Wisconsin are on the backside of a $550,000 renovation project at the Imperial airport. The project includes removing all of the joint spacing and sealant between each concrete section, replacement of 75 sections of concrete and new painting. The last major runway work was done in 2000 when it was extended 300 feet on each end to accommodate business jets.
