Agenda filling up fast for Monday’s council meeting

From the looks of the agenda early this week, Monday’s city council meeting will touch on a lot of topics.
Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland provided the following agenda items expected to be addressed at Monday’s 6 p.m. meeting in the council chambers:
The Planning Commission has recommended a final plat for the new Nutrien Subdivision at the city’s southeast edge to accommodate the company’s construction plans. The plan will be considered by the council for their approval.
The council will consider a pole attachment agreement and loan agreement with Gigabit LLC, a new fiber network company owned by Bill Brophy, Ben Brophy, John Paisley and Russ Pankonin.
The council will discuss a transfer of funds to Mid-Plains Community College for their campus expansion next year. The city pledged $100,000 last year from sales tax funds.
Consideration will be given on a purchase agreement for Lots 6-12, Block 22, Railroad Addition, for which city sales tax funds will be used.
Sargent Irrigation has requested a payment of $107,550.00 for initial work on the new water well they are installing in Campbell Park.
Approval of Sergio Almanza Jr. and Dustin Harris as volunteer firefighters will be before the council.
Other agenda items include a policy on use of the city car and purchase of informational magnets for residents listing city phone numbers.
