Youth summer ball leagues underway in Wauneta, Palisade

Summer ball leagues are underway for Wauneta and Palisade youths.
Four teams are in action this summer.
Shane and Larissa Gerhartz are coaching Pony league and C teams. Pony league features third and fourth graders, C team covers fifth and sixth graders. There are 23 players between the two team.
Games started May 25.
After a home game against Atwood, the teams traveled to Cheylin, Kansas May 27 and Oberlin, Kansas June 1. Their second home game was June 3 against St. Francis, Kansas.
Rounding out the league is Benkelman and Trenton.
Games begin at 6 p.m.
Nik Johanson, Ben Anderjaska, Joseph Frecks and numerous parent volunteers have 35 kids out for T-ball and Coach Pitch.
Their first game will be Monday. Games will begin at 6 p.m. MT.
T-ball will play first for one hour with Coach Pitch to follow.
