CCS, WP represented at JH state track

Junior high athletes from Chase County and Wauneta-Palisade placed at the May 15 Junior High Nebraska Champion Meet in Gothenburg.
WP’s Grayden Sutherland placed fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 37’6.5”. Thomas Reeves of CCS was 10th with a jump of 36’5”
Reeves and teammates Luis Có, Sergio Quintana and Tucker Mollendor made up the 400 meter relay team which placed second.
Chase County’s boys’ 1,600 meter relay team placed third. Tristan Jablonski, Có, Quintana and Reeves made up the team.
Other CCS boys’ events were Conner Tyerman, discus; Jablonski, pole vault;  Có, 400 meters and Reeves, long jump.
The CCS girls’ team sent Riley Rusher in the 400, Hayley Rusher and Miranda Spady in the pole vault, Ava McNair in the long jump, Landree McNair in the high jump and the 400 meter relay team of H. Rusher, R. Rusher, Ashlyn Heermann and Gianna Maddox.
