The annual science fair at Chase County Schools allowed students to experiment with, and learn about, many different scientific thoughts. The experiment process was recorded in display form, then judged by students and selected adults last Friday.
Topics explored ranged from teaching pigs to fetch, does color affect memory, to what breed of horse has the best sense of smell.
Ten students and their displays were chosen to move on to the next level of competition March 21 at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte.
They are Charlie Ann Carter, Michael Musgrove, Indy Smith, Regan Gittlein, Destyn Milner, MaKayla DaMoude, Emma Mollendor, Valeria Cervantes, Kymberli Rowley and Taylor Wilson.
Alternates are Andriena Marquez, Kevin Chavira, Mylee Sorensen, Joe Tomky and Caleb Bubak.
The students are in science teacher Kim Wilson’s freshman and sophomore classes.
