The Chase County Food Pantry is in dire need of food. Chairman Nancy Terryberry said the shelves are almost bare, with just refried beans, hamburger, chicken and potatoes left. Terryberry said the checkbook is also empty, as donations have been used to purchase groceries. She said supplies such as paper goods aren’t in such bad shape. However, they are also needed. Anyone wishing to donate food may drop it off at the city offices, or at the food pantry in the city building. The pantry is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. Anyone wishing to send a donation may write a check to Chase County Food Pantry and mail it to PO Box 4, Imperial, Neb. 69033. Checks may also be dropped off at the city office.
